With Mailchimp, you can easily create and manage email campaigns, segment your audience, and track performance. The Real Deal

What you really need to know!

We have made quality our habit. It’s not something that we just strive for – we live by this principle every day. Affiliate marketing is not easy, it's constantly evolving and needs real effort to succeed.

While most of the things about the creative process will be forgotten, the excellence honesty and usefulness of our reviews and services will be remembered.

As part of the five products reviewed, we looked at it from your point of view, the affiliate marketer. We all want to make money and why not make money from the platform we use on a day to day basis. As part of the review we attempted to enroll in the the affiliate marketing programs of each.

The results shocked us.

MailChimp

Mailchimp may have been around the longest and have a huge customer base but in our opinion misses a trick when dealing with people wanting to start affiliate marketing. It has no affiliate option to speak of. Any referrals you generate from the platform will only be used to credit your account. No cash equivalent is available. So to us it was a clear miss.

Constant Contact

The affiliate program here is managed by impact.com. We followed the instructions and submitted an application. Withing 24 hours we received a message back
"Unfortunately, Constant Contact declined your request to partner on Constant Contact for the following reason: No specific reason given." We chased up the reason but so far have not received any response. Again as someone new to affiliate marketing this is less than helpful. Interestingly Impact.com offered a list of alternate companies to partner with, so something to be investigated later down the line.

GetResonse

GetResponse if you read the review is a feature rich and evolving product. It has a simple signup procedure and clear pricing whilst remaining inexpensive. Similarly the affilate marketing enrollment process is a breeze. It took 5 minutes to get signed up and have access to the affiliate links. They even offer two tiers affiliate depending on if you want one larger payout or a recurring revenue. To us this was a simple yet great way to get into affiliate marketing.

MailerLite

Mailerlite also offers a simple model to sign-up to the affiliate marketing program. You quickly receive approval and also offers good banners and marketing material to help you drive potential customers to sign-up. As the review says, it's a great wallet friendly option for those starting out in affiliate marketing.

Brevo - formally SendInBlue

At the time of writing there is some confusion around the affiliate application process. This section will be updated when this is clarified but at the moment a great all round product is tarnished for use in affiliate marketing by the referral sign up issues.
